250 Years of History -Exhibit

2017 marks the commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the Founding of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. The Huntingdon County Historical Society plans a gallery exhibit as part of the festivities. The exhibit will include fine art paintings, JC Blair Company artifacts, Native American artifacts, historical documents including early original tavern licenses from Huntingdon, railroad artifacts, old photos over the years, old maps, pottery, textiles, military artifacts and digital display lectures.

The exhibit will be June 1st to October 1st, 2017. The gallery will be open Wednesday's, Thursday's and Friday's  9am-4pm

 Huntingdon celebrate's  a big milestone in 2017! WE will honor our Huntingdon history as one of the oldest settlements in Pennsylvania through a series of events in 2017; including displays,lectures,gallery exhibits, a parade, community street fairs and walking tours. During the year, we will highlight notable happenings on our 250 year timeline, historic figures that played a large role in shaping who we are toda, the charm of our small town, our people and our heritage as a community in Pennsylvania. As part of the commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the Founding of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania; we will look back and also look towards our bright future. All are welcome #HdonPA250
