Mountain biking in the Raystown Lake Region of The Alleghenies is second to none!
There are two \"mountain bike parks\" in the area offering free access on public land for a combined 100+ miles of mountain bike trails.
Rothrock State Forest is home to over 60 miles of single and double track mountain bike trails in the area of Greenwood Furnace State Park. When the trails are combined with dirt fire service roads, the result is a mountain bike park with over 150 miles of trail possibilities. The Rothrock trails contain an International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) certified EPIC ride.
The new Allegrippis Trails at Raystown Lake have been named as the best cross-country trail and among \"The 4 Best Bike Trails\" in North America by Men\'s Journal magazine in its September 2009 issue! The trails were machine built by the IMBA Trail Care Crew, and by most accounts are fast and fun! There are over 30 miles of trails in the Allegrippis Trail System.
