Bring your bikes to Huntingdon County!

Whether you are looking for relaxing two wheel touring on blacktop or rails-to-trails scenic peddling or pulse-pounding single track trails, we've got your great bike experience just waiting for you in the Raystown Lake Region of Huntingdon County.

  • 4 on-road designated biking routes are available for your touring pleasure in Huntingdon County.
  • The Lower Trail is 18 miles of rails-to-trails scenic byway running parallel to the Frankstown Branch of the Juniata River.
  • Conquer the epic IMBA R3 ride in Rothrock State Forest. 30 miles of mixed dirt road and single track that winds up and down central PA's scenic topography and passes through the largest and oldest grove of hemlock trees in the country.
  • And the Allegrippis Trails...30+ miles of multi-use trails designed by mountain bikers and built by the Friends of Raystown Lake volunteers and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Called "A roller coaster on 2 wheels" by some, the trails are designed for everyone with loops rated "easiest" to "most difficult" in the system. Scenic overlooks of Raystown Lake and tranquil wooded tracks make up the 24 trail segments designed in stacked loops. Endless combinations make it easy to choose a trail that's as short or as long as you would like.
