This moderate terrain trail rises and falls through an area best known for logging. Today, however, logging has ceased, and wildlife viewers can hike the loop seeking out native wildlife. Greenwood Lake hosts duck, great blue heron and the occasional osprey. May and June dusk hours offer the unique song of the whip-poor-will.
