Watching summertime fade away is not so bad when it means cooler breezes and the spectacular changing of the leaves. The fall season in the Raystown Lake Region is beloved by locals and visitors alike because it brings with it some amazing autumn events. Mark your calendars and keep yourself busy here savoring every minute of this magical season.
FALL FOLIAGE PROUD MARY BOAT RIDES
Sept. 6 - Oct. 30, Raystown Lake Resort at 3101 Chipmunk Crossing, Entriken, PA 16638
The Proud Mary Showboat offers many options to see the beauty of Raystown Lake in the fall. The sightseeing cruises give you the opportunity to truly take in the lake views. These rides run on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. In addition, they also run a breakfast cruise on Sunday mornings. On Saturday evenings, you can watch the sunset from a dinner cruise on the water.

HUNTINGDON OKTOBERFEST
Oct. 1, located on Penn Street, Huntingdon PA 16652
The 2022 Oktoberfest theme is “Come Glow With Us.” This one-day event is free and open to everyone in the region. This multi-block event brings local food, beer, music and entertainment for the day. It is encouraged to wear glow-in-the-dark clothing to play games, get some body painting and much more.

OKTOBERFEST AT HERITAGE COVE RESORT
Oct. 1, located at 1172 River Rd, Saxton, PA 16678
Heritage Cove Resort offers lodging options including cabins and RV sites. Their Oktoberfest gives those staying the opportunity to meet others staying at this beautiful resort. This event will have live music, food, raffles, games and kid's activities. This event is open to resort guests only.
BEDFORD FALL FOLIAGE FESTIVAL
Oct. 1-2 and Oct. 8-9
This event brings together over 400 artists and craftsmen to fill the streets of Downtown Bedford for the first two weekends in October. This event is an incredible opportunity to browse what the local area has to offer. The festival even includes an antique car parade!
HARTSLOG HERITAGE DAY FESTIVAL
Oct. 8, Main Street, Alexandria, PA
This event has been occurring for 46 years and is loved by the community. It began as a homecoming celebration with the goal of promoting sales of Hartslog Heritage and reveal the new monument. Hartslog Day now features a long walk of craft vendors, local food and drinks, and entertainment lasting all day long. Be sure to get there early to see it all!
FALL SPECTACULAR AT THE ROCKHILL TROLLEY MUSEUM
Oct. 8, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., 430 Meadow St, Rockhill, PA 17249
The autumn leaves are quite the sight in central Pennsylvania and there is no better way to take in the beauty than on a trolley ride. Fall Spectacular celebrates the fall season as it takes you on a ride through Blacklog on some special cars they plan to have running.

GHOST AND GOBLINS
Every weekend in October from 6-9:30 p.m., Lincoln Caverns located at 7703 William Penn Highway, Huntingdon, PA 16652
This year marks the 39th Annual Ghost and Goblins event at Lincoln Caverns. You can decide whether to take a daytime tour or an evening terror. The daytime tour is kid friendly and includes a haunted cave tour, natural cave tour, legends trail and hayride. During the evening tour you are taken through the haunted cave, on the haunted trail and taken on a haunted hayride.
THE HEART OF JCO’S 2ND ANNUAL YELLOWSTONE BASH

The Heart of JCo is excited to be at The Barn on Pennington Road for their 2nd Annual Yellowstone Bash. This event supports “Kindness for Kids” and is an event you will not want to miss. There will be live music, a pig roast, beer and signature drinks, cornhole and much more.

HALLOWEEN ADVENTURES AT FORT ROBERDEAU
Oct. 8, located at 383 Fort Roberdeau Rd, Altoona, PA 16601
Fort Roberdeau teams up with Altoona Area High School’s Astronomy club to feature living history characters for their fabled fort haunted trail. Make sure to bring the younger kids along because they will offer a trick-or-treat event for children 12 and under.

HARVESTFEST AND SENSORY HARVESTFEST
Oct. 15, Huntingdon County Library located at 330 Penn St, Huntingdon, PA 16652
The Huntingdon County Library is excited to host two separate Harvestfests to make sure everyone is comfortable. At 2 p.m. everyone is welcome to join for fall crafts, snacks and outdoor activities. At 4 p.m. there will be the same opportunities but for families with sensory needs. This is a wonderful, inclusive event that everyone should enjoy.

INDIAN SUMMER FESTIVAL
Oct. 15, from 5-10 p.m., Brookmere Winery located at 5369 State Route 655, Belleville, PA 17004
Brookmere Winery is notorious for their incredible events throughout the entire year. The Indian Summer Festival is one of their larger events with music, beverages, food and more. This year they are excited to have Reboot performing at 6:30 p.m. after you have some time to enjoy food from Rebelz Mobile Cuisine, the cigar lounge and take your turn at Axe Throwing on The Hatchet House’s mobile unit.

PUMPKIN PATCH TROLLEY
Oct. 15-16, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Rockhill Trolley located at 430 Meadow St, Rockhill, PA 17249
Rockhill Trolley has been featuring the Pumpkin Patch Trolley since 2006! This is a great event for the entire family. Take a ride on the trolley to the pumpkin patch where children are able to find the perfect pumpkin before hopping back on the trolley for the scenic route back. This event is only $10 a person and only happens one weekend a year, so mark your calendars now!

TRUNK OR TREAT AT SWIGART MUSEUM

The Raystown Kruisers are excited to see all the creative costumes during the free Trunk-or-Treat event being held during their weekly Kars & Koffee. Come see all the incredible cars while your children enjoy their time filling their bags with candy. The museum will be open for tours, children entry is free into the museum and adults will get $2 off admission when bringing a child.

PEANUTS: THE GREAT PUMPKIN EXPRESS PATCH

The East Broad Top Railroad is excited to bring you the Great Pumpkin Patch Express! Join Charlie Brown and Snoopy for a ride on the railroad. Play games, pick the perfect pumpkin from the patch and much more. The best part? It is encouraged to wear your Halloween costume!

OCTOBER BRUNCH

Brunch is a wonderful way to catch up with friends and family. Brookmere Winery is happy to offer Brunch in the Brookmere Barn! They will have a breakfast buffet full of favorites and a coffee bar all included in the purchase of your ticket. Tickets are $21 a person with tax and a 20% gratuity added. The bar will be open for additional purchases of your favorite brunch beverages including mimosas, wine and Bloody Mary’s.
