The Raystown Lake Region remains a popular Fourth of July getaway. Last year brought in 58,000 visitors from all over the world! Instead of stressing over finding last-minute festivities, spend the holiday dining, shopping and viewing fireworks throughout the region. Independence Day Fireworks on Raystown Lake

Date: July 2, 2023

Lake Raystown Resort’s annual Independence Day fireworks display will take place over the southern end of the lake at dusk July 2. Visitors who are staying at the Lake Raystown Resort or who have a dock slip are welcome to view them from the resort property. The fireworks will also be visible by boat or from Entriken Bridge and Coffee Run overlooks. Note: Parking vehicles on the side of the road or on the Route 994 bridge is not advised.

5th Annual Freedom Celebration at Reklaimed Vines/Defiant Distillery

Date: July 3, 2023 at 5 p.m. 

There will be a DJ, axe throwing, a food truck and alcoholic beverages such as wine, mixed drinks, beer and slushies. It is recommended to bring a folding chair or arrive early to ensure a seat. There will be no outside alcohol allowed.

38th Annual Downtown Huntingdon Car, Truck and Bike Cruise

Date: July 3, 2023 at 6 p.m.

Come join the fun! The line-up for the car cruise begins at 5 p.m. at Juniata College. Parking for cruisers is available on the 5th, 6th, and 7th blocks of Washington Street. The cruise begins at 6 p.m. with police escorts on the regular Washington St. parade route. Dan and Galla will be performing music in Bryan Park. Family Fest will be held in the Presbyterian Church parking lot from 6:30-8:30 p.m., courtesy of the Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce. Children's activities and entertainment will be provided. It is advised that participants refrain from doing burnouts.

 

Huntingdon Borough Fireworks

Date: July 3, 2023 at 9:40 p.m.

Launched from Flagpole Hill by the Geisinger family of Huntingdon.

 

Altoona Curve vs Erie Seawolves

Date: July 4, 2023

The Altoona Curve is hosting one of the largest firework shows in Central Pennsylvania! Launch will take place after the team's home baseball game against Erie Seawolves.

Summer Thunder at DelGrosso's Amusement Park 

Date: July 4, 2023

DelGrosso's Amusement Park opens at 11 a.m. and will offer special Fourth of July hours. There will be a pre-show musical at 9 p.m. followed by the fireworks spectacular around 10 p.m. Please be aware that all rides will be closed during the Summer Thunder Fireworks. Following the conclusion of the fireworks display, several rides and food stands will reopen. 

 

DelGrosso' Park & Laguna Splash special Fourth of July hours schedule:
Laguna Splash water park - 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Water Side food stands - 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Grill Americano and Laguna Snacks - Closes at 7 p.m.
DelGrosso's Park rides and food stands - Noon to 11:30 p.m.
